Designing a brand experience that transforms everyday moments into lasting memories

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Memory Makers Club is an editorial and brand identity experience centered on connection, storytelling, and intentional memory making. Inspired by personal experiences, particularly time spent with my grandpa, the project reflects the importance of slowing down, being present, and finding meaning in everyday moments.

THE CHALLENGE

In a fast paced digital world, meaningful connection is often replaced by distraction and fleeting interactions. The goal was to design a system that encourages presence, transforms everyday activities into intentional experiences, and creates something people return to over time.

THE CONCEPT

Developed as a lifestyle brand and interactive guide, the Memory Makers Club invites users to actively create and document meaningful moments. Rooted in personal experiences and intergenerational relationships, the concept reframes nostalgia as something built in the present through shared experiences, storytelling, and connection.

BRAND IDENTITY

The identity system reflects warmth, familiarity, and emotional storytelling. Soft typography and nostalgic color choices create an approachable yet refined aesthetic, while subtle scrapbook inspired elements reinforce the idea of collecting and preserving memories.

EDITORIAL EXPERIENCE

At the center of the project is an interactive guidebook designed to encourage participation rather than passive reading. It includes exploration prompts, at home activities, conversation starters, and photography prompts, transforming the book into both a guide and a personal archive.

Scrapbook
A companion piece designed to preserve memories through journaling, photography, and collected mementos.

Conversation Cards
A deck designed to spark connection, guiding users from lighthearted prompts to deeper, more meaningful conversations.

EXPERIENCE DESIGN

The brand extends beyond print into a tactile and immersive experience. Elements like a companion camera, interactive prompts, and a gallery exhibition encourage users to actively engage, turning everyday moments into something meaningful and memorable.

The Memory Makers Club demonstrates how design can facilitate connection — transforming nostalgia into an active experience and creating a system that grows alongside its audience.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Process played a key role in shaping the final system. Early exploration included logo iterations, typography studies, and layout sketches to define the brand’s direction.

Guidebook spreads were refined through multiple iterations, balancing storytelling with clarity and usability. These explorations highlight how the project evolved from initial concepts into a cohesive, fully realized experience.
