Editorial and Brand Identity

The Memory Makers Club was created from a deeply personal place—a desire to honor the power of connection, storytelling, and the meaningful moments that shape who we are. This project is inspired by my grandpa, whose presence in my life was a constant source of comfort, joy, and unconditional love. Some of my most treasured memories were made sitting with him at the kitchen table, talking for hours about everything from school to our favorite movies. Those simple, everyday moments taught me the value of slowing down, being present, and truly listening to the people you love.

Throughout my childhood, he showed me how magical ordinary moments could be—weekends filled with laughter, movie nights with Disney and Barbie, visits to corn mazes, and endless small adventures that made life feel extraordinary. His kindness, patience, and genuine interest in others shaped my understanding of what meaningful connection looks like. Even in my first years of college, our weekly dinners and conversations became an anchor in my life, reminding me of how powerful it is to share space, stories, and time with someone who cares.

This guidebook was built to carry that legacy forward. The Memory Makers Club is designed to help others experience that same sense of connection—to encourage people to create, capture, and cherish the moments that become their own stories. Inside, you’ll find inspiration for exploring Minnesota, ideas for making home feel special, and prompts that celebrate the beauty of everyday life. Each activity is paired with photo prompts so you can document your adventures, and with the included camera, you have everything you need to hold onto the laughter, milestones, and memories you create.

This project is my way of honoring the lessons my grandpa taught me: that the best memories aren’t just remembered—they’re made. My hope is that this guide helps you slow down, gather your favorite people, share conversations, and build relationships that truly matter. Because the most meaningful moments in life are often the simplest ones—and they are always worth holding onto.

Guidebook

The Memory Makers Club was created to help you make the most of life’s meaningful moments—whether they’re big adventures, quiet evenings, or spontaneous bursts of fun with the people who matter most. This guidebook is designed to spark inspiration, encourage connection, and make it easier to create, capture, and cherish the experiences that shape your story. Inside, you’ll find ideas for exploring incredible destinations around Minnesota, creative ways to make home feel special, and prompts that celebrate the joy found in everyday moments. Each activity is paired with photo prompts to help you document your adventures, and with your included camera, you’ll have everything you need to capture the laughter, milestones, and memories you create along the way. So gather your favorite people, turn the page, and start making moments that truly last—because the best memories aren’t just remembered, they’re made.

Scrapbook

Life’s most meaningful moments often lived on when they were photographed or written down, and this scrapbook was created to help turn those experiences into lasting memories. Designed to be used alongside the guidebook, it serves as the companion piece where your adventures are documented—while the guidebook offered prompts and ideas for planning and reflecting, the scrapbook became the place to add photos, jot down thoughts, and decorate the pages with mementos that brought each memory to life. Every page includes a lined section for recording experiences, paired with illustrated borders inspired by the guidebook’s artwork and customized to suit each activity’s theme, helping set the tone and spark creativity as memories were preserved. Small keepsakes like receipts, tickets, or postcards could be taped inside, becoming meaningful reminders of where you had been and what you had shared. With snapshots gathered and a favorite playlist playing in the background, these pages are meant to be filled with the moments that matter most—because the best memories weren’t only the ones we remembered, but the ones we chose to create.

Deck of Conversation Cards

Big memories often began with the smallest moments. This conversation deck was created as more than a simple stack of cards—it serves as an invitation to slow down, lean in, and genuinely listen. Organized into Deep, Deeper, and Deepest, the cards guided you from lighthearted questions to meaningful, soul-level conversations one prompt at a time. Whether gathered around a dinner table, riding in the car, or sharing a quiet evening at home, these prompts help turn ordinary moments into unforgettable ones. Because conversations were never just words—they were the spark that created connection, understanding, and lasting memories. Let the talking begin.

Gallery Exhibition

For my senior project, I designed and installed a gallery exhibition that recreated the feel of a warm, inviting living room—a space intentionally built around storytelling, memory-making, and shared experiences. The exhibition featured selected spreads from my guidebook alongside framed illustrations displayed for easy viewing. I incorporated small shelves holding mementos connected to specific sections of the guidebook, reinforcing the narrative thread that runs throughout the project.

A fully produced copy of both the guidebook and the accompanying scrapbook were placed on a long table, along with a custom-designed camera created as part of the project. Visitors were encouraged to flip through the guidebook to experience the full story, while the scrapbook invited them to add a memory of their own, contributing to the collective narrative of adventure and connection. I also included branded takeaways—soda-cap pins inspired by Disney’s Up—to represent membership in the “Memory Makers Club,” further tying into the idea of shared storytelling.

To the right, a small table with two chairs displayed the conversation cards, offering guests a place to sit, talk, and exchange stories. This moment was inspired by my own life: my grandpa and I often sat at the dining room table for hours, sharing stories that deeply impacted me. That memory was so meaningful that I incorporated the scene directly into the design of the conversation cards.

Curtains, soft details, and a plant completed the space, enhancing the comfortable, lived-in atmosphere and reinforcing the exhibition’s overarching theme of storytelling through space, objects, and interaction.
