Growing Through Every Shot

As I head into my final week as a photography intern at Altar'd State, I’ve been reflecting on just how meaningful this experience has been. I’m so thankful for the creative freedom I was given—outside of core brand guidelines, I had the space to explore, experiment, and really shape my own style. It’s the first time I’ve created portfolio work that feels truly my own, and that has been incredibly rewarding.

This internship taught me so much about trusting myself, trying new things, and staying open to different approaches. I learned that I’m far more capable than I once thought and that confidence grows when you give yourself permission to explore. Some ideas worked, some didn’t—but every attempt taught me something valuable.

Feedback played a huge role in my growth, too. Having people to bounce ideas off and learn alongside made the experience even more meaningful. I realized there’s no single “right” way to create; often, the best results come from staying adaptable and curious.

I’m walking away from this experience with new skills, stronger confidence, and a real excitement for what’s next. Grateful for the team, the creativity, and the opportunity to grow.
